After 6 Years...

Spurred on by my last post, I got to thinking about how my approach to parenting has relaxed over the years.  Poor Eva.  At this point I see nothing wrong with corraling the small child in a  laundry basket full of toys while I blog work on school stuff.  And when she gets fussy....

I see nothing wrong with letting her big sister drag her around the bedroom in the basket.  Sudden stops, wheelies and all.  After all, she's already crying...

After 6 years of being "Mom", I feel confident enough to just hand her the whole darn banana instead of cutting it up into little bite size pieces.
When Ali was a  baby, babysitters had to have a resume...
Now I employ 6 year olds as babysitters while taking showers, phone calls, etc.
Funny how things change!

And she will turn out just fine I'm sure. It's funny how our standards slide a bit with each child.

Eva looks so big in that last picture! I let my almost 5 year old babysit while I'm in the shower. Probably not a good idea but so far it works!

Stopping by from Shandal's blog!

Girl, I'm a little worried here. You see, we have the same laundry basket. And we have a daughter we often let play in it with all her toys. DH even takes her for a ride around the family room in it.

But, we don't have the two older children to give us the justification for being so relaxed.

I'm wondering if that means our future children will be swinging from the rafters and running into traffic?
