Loving Our Space

This evening I am waiting for the girls to come home from soccer practice.
As I walk room to room to room picking up and putting away,
I see this from my bedroom.

The dim lighting goes well with the momentary quiet.
I am pleased.
It feels like home finally.
The french doors are new and complete the conversion
of an unused formal dining room into a much used and NEEDED playroom.

Our large cold kitchen with all the tile and granite is beginning to warm up.
And is turning into one of my favorite places to be!
You can barely see behind the kitchen table my new storage bench seat.
The seat is 2 feet wide and I sewed the cushions my own self!
It's the perfect spot for coffee in the morning, studying and taking naps while something bakes.

Okay, with the flash so you can see how cool it is.
I really don't have a lot of time
and I'm not all that crafty,
but I love the emotional attachment that I get by making and doing myself.
I think that's why I'm beginning to love our space.

I love all the changes! Can't wait to see them in person.

Great job on the bench cover -- it looks great!

I love the french doors too. I wish we had a spot for a play room. Those toys are taking over.
